Happy July 1!
Doesn't feel like it with these cool temperatures, but the temps will be going up over the weekend! Looks like a nice 4th.
How's the morning for you? Just got back from spin and now brewing my decaf and black....
QOTD-When you set your goals, weight loss or other, do you give yourself a deadline? I find I have to set a deadline for what I plan on what I'm doing or I procrastinate.  However, I wanted to be at my goal weight by now, but my body had had other ideas. So, I'm trying to be optimistic and look at other ways I have improved and not be so number focused.
Well, time for coffee!

Good morning Deb.I am trying to eat a breakfast burrito.I have decaf in the pot waiting though.I have not set a goal date but I am only 7 months out from surgery so maybe I ought to contemplate that thought now, lol. My doc says we have about 18 months for optimum weight loss.It is raining and cold here. Our house was only 62 degrees this mornin so hubby turned on the furnace for a bit.Stay warm and dry.

Good morning, Michigan!

What a great question Deb.  You pointed out a huge flaw in my plans.  I give myself a goal but not usually a time line, which means I can take forever to get there.  I am going to start setting specific time lines and see if that helps me stay a little more focused.

Hey all!

Up early packing up clothes for Goodwill, moving my wine glass collection out of the curio cabinet that's headed for the trash, moving boxes and stored stuff..... gotta finish cleaning out the corner of the dining room that's been used for storage and crap -- freezer delivery expected this morning.  WooHoo!

I'm taking a break for some protein coffee.

QOTD -- I never set a deadline on weight loss goals.  I've come to realize my body will do whatever the heck it wants to do and I have very little control over it.  Right now I'm in the midst of a 25-pound-goal.  For every 25 lbs I lose I get a reward.  Last reward was in August last year ... since thing I've lost about 13 pounds, so I have a ways to go before that goal is achieved.  Otherwise most goals do have a deadline.  My race goal requires 2 races per month through October.

Have a good day alll

Good morning!

Decaf with protein for my morning drink.  Actually, I've moved on to lunch already, I'm STARVING!  The carb monster has attacked me and I'm trying to hold it at bay....

QOTD:  I have set W/L goals for myself along the way, but no timeline.  Now my body just seems to do whatever it feels like, but I know i also have control over *some* of it (what I eat anyway).  I was hoping by 9 months out I would be at goal, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen.

Afternoon all,

About to have lunch, a black bean burger w/ some mashed potatoes.

Q:  With weight loss I had an idea in mind, but no hard date.  Now my goal is to just stay healthy... eat healthy 95% of the time, exercise 4-6 days a week.....  Like everyone else my body is doing it's own thing, I'm just trying to keep it going in the right direction.

As for other things in life, yes I always set a time limit, I'm a bit OCD that way, LOL!!!

Have a great day all,

Edie

I'm falling into the bad habit of not getting breakfast again.  I hit the ground running again this am.  Headed to Home Depot to get some joint compound to tape the Dry wall we hung yesterday.  Stopped for brunch with DH.  We stopped to get some plants too.

When I got home I had to go to work

Yep!  Me too.  If I don't have a deadline I put it off.  I have set goal for the weight lost but, I don't put a time on them as I would just be disappointed.  I have done the Challenges on the band boards.  They are fun.  I even made one.  I just try to do little ones.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
